FIQ Recuperate | Morley – Copper & Mineral Support – Lab Tested
In a double-blind crossover trial in 24 healthy adults, copper supplementation significantly raised serum diamine oxidase, the marker that tracks dietary copper intake.
For adults already on liver who want a copper number they can count instead of an estimate. 60 capsules; 1 with food, up to 2 daily.
- 2 mg Copper
- Copper Bisglycinate Chelate
- 300 mg Beef Liver
- 95% Curcuminoid Extract
- Every Amount Printed
- No Proprietary Blends
- No Fillers
- No Flow Agents
- No Seed Oils
Why people use it
- Beef liver gives you copper from food but never a figure; this makes your daily total arithmetic instead of estimation.
- Ceruloplasmin, the copper-dependent enzyme, carries more than 95% of the copper in plasma. FIQ's framing: enhance copper intake, support cellular health, promote blood health.
- Whole food alongside the measured dose. 300 mg of beef liver powder and 300 mg of spirulina in the same capsule, so nose-to-tail nutrient density and the number arrive together rather than in two bottles.
- A real turmeric extract, not the spice. 100 mg of turmeric root extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids. Curcuminoids support the body's own antioxidant defenses; pooled randomized trials raised total antioxidant capacity, and the research drop-down has them.
- Boron, at a careful amount. 3 mg as bororganic glycine, a trace element that interacts with calcium, magnesium, copper, and vitamin D. Take one, not two, if boron is the number you are watching.
Supplement Facts
Serving size 1 capsule; 60 servings per container. Read straight from the manufacturer's panel. Five ingredients, every one with a number next to it.
| Ingredient | Per capsule |
|---|---|
| Copper (as bisglycinate chelate) | 2 mg |
| Beef liver powder | 300 mg |
| Spirulina | 300 mg |
| Turmeric root extract (95% curcuminoids) | 100 mg |
| Boron (as bororganic glycine) | 3 mg |
Other ingredients: gelatin capsule (bovine). Panel as published by the manufacturer. Every product is lab tested; certificates of analysis on request, about a 2-week turnaround.
How to use
- Adults: 1 capsule with food, up to 2 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Consistency day to day is what makes it work.
- New to added copper? Start with 1 capsule every 2-3 days and build toward daily as you tolerate it.
- One capsule is 3 mg of boron against a 3.36 mg adult daily maximum. If you go to two capsules, do it with your provider, and do not take a separate boron product alongside either way.
- Add your copper up.
- If the ramp feels uncomfortable, go back to every 2-3 days. There is no prize for getting there quickly.
Sourcing & making
Made for the FIQ line, the Morley formula: copper bisglycinate chelate, beef liver powder, spirulina, a 95% curcuminoid turmeric extract, and bororganic glycine boron, in a bovine gelatin capsule. Every amount is printed on the panel. Every product is lab tested. Certificates of analysis on request, about a 2-week turnaround; spirulina in particular is worth asking about, since quality varies more between suppliers than most ingredients do.

Who it's for — and who it isn't
Good fit for:
- Adults already taking beef liver who want a measured copper amount on top of it
- Practitioners building a copper-and-retinol-first mineral base for clients
- People who would rather count milligrams than estimate from a food table
Probably not for you if:
- You are under 18.
- You already take boron, or copper from another supplement. One capsule is essentially the full adult boron allowance, and copper carries a 10 mg daily ceiling.
- You have an estrogen-dependent condition.

The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
2 mg copper bis-glycinate
Response of putative indices of copper status to copper supplementation in human subjects
British Journal of Nutrition · 2000 · RCT · n=24 healthy adults (12 women, 12 men), crossover
In a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover study in 24 healthy adults aged 22-45, copper supplementation raised serum diamine oxidase activity significantly in the group as a whole and in both sexes (p < 0.01), identifying it as a marker that tracks dietary copper intake.
3 mg boron
British Journal of Nutrition · 1993 · RCT · n=Healthy postmenopausal women in a metabolic unit study
In a controlled metabolic-unit study in healthy postmenopausal women, raising boron intake from 0.33 to 3.33 mg/day was tracked against minerals, sex steroids and bone collagen crosslinks; measured values held steady across the range, and the authors note that calcium hyperabsorption on the low-boron diet may have masked movement. What boron does at this intake over longer periods remains to be studied.
300 mg spirulina
Spirulina blood pressure meta-analysis, 2021
Nutrients · 2021 · meta-analysis · n=5 randomized trials, 230 participants (systolic analysis)
Pooling five randomized trials in 230 participants taking 1-8 g/day of spirulina, systolic blood pressure fell by 4.59 mmHg and diastolic by 7.02 mmHg versus control, with larger changes in people who already had elevated blood pressure.
Evidence note: Strongest for copper, which has a controlled human supplementation trial behind it and a published 2 mg per capsule. Boron sits on a controlled feeding study that measured mineral, hormone and bone markers at almost exactly this intake and describes what it observed. Spirulina's pooled trials used 1-8 g a day, three to twenty-seven times the 300 mg here, so it belongs in the formula as whole-food nutrient density rather than as a spirulina dose.
A note on iron
Iron is essential. You need it to carry oxygen and make energy. The catch is that iron only behaves when it is bound and moving. Iron that sits in storage, or circulates unbound, is chemically reactive; it drives the free-radical chemistry researchers call oxidative stress, and elevated ferritin often travels with it.
Moving iron is a copper job. Ceruloplasmin, a copper-dependent enzyme, oxidizes iron so it can leave cells and be used. Without enough copper, that enzyme stalls and so does iron traffic. Retinol, real vitamin A, sits in the same system: low vitamin A status changes how the body handles iron.
That is why we build around whole-food copper, retinol, and magnesium instead of pushing more iron. Magnesium is there for its own reasons; the evidence tying it to iron directly is thin.
If you are thinking about iron, test first. Ferritin, serum iron, and saturation, read by your practitioner with your history in front of them. Iron is not right for everyone.

FAQ
Is the 2 mg elemental copper or the weight of the salt?
Elemental. That is the number to carry into your daily total.
How does this compare with beef liver capsules?
It adds 2 mg of measured copper and 3 mg of boron on top of 300 mg of liver powder. Six of our beef liver capsules run roughly 2 mg of copper by NIH food reference values, so one of these is in the same neighbourhood with a printed number instead of an estimate. Treat it as an addition, not a replacement.
Is 2 mg of copper a lot?
That last part is where people get caught out.
Why boron?
The controlled feeding study in the research drop-down measured minerals, sex steroids, and bone markers at almost exactly this intake and reports what it saw. It is here as a trace element, not as the headline.
Is 300 mg of spirulina doing much on its own?
As a spirulina dose, no. Pooled spirulina trials used 1 to 8 grams a day, three to twenty-seven times what is in this capsule. It is here for nutrient density alongside the liver powder, and we would rather say that plainly than let the word do work it has not earned.
Pairs well with
- 100% Grass-Fed Beef Liver — the whole-food copper base this one was built to sit on top of
- FIQ Cod Liver Oil (Morley) — retinol, the other half of the copper-and-vitamin-A pairing
- Magnesium Malate — the third leg of the mineral-first base
Cautions
- Do not use it in either.
- Do not exceed the recommended serving size. Consult a medical doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing, have or suspect a medical condition, or are taking any other medications. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs. Do not use if the safety seal is broken. Contains a bovine gelatin capsule. Store in a cool, dry place away from children.
